Fish Tank Recruitment was launched in April 2006 as the brainchild of Jenny Casper. With four years of previous recruitment experience, Jenny realised that matching highly talented advertising and design talents to dynamic career opportunities was in her blood, and she decided to bring her own particular brand of hands-on passion and insight to the market.

Jenny’s background in the creative world, her love for people and communication and her efficiency as a recruiter formed the backbone for this new player in a sea of tough competitors, and Fish Tank Recruitment was up and swimming.

It’s business, yet it’s personal.

The ethos of the company is to work closely with both clients and candidates in a personal, informal yet professional manner. Jenny believes in putting all her energy (and she has plenty of it) into the goal not just of placing people – but of placing them in the right place at the right time.

In fours years of operation, she has worked intensively to form extremely meaningful relationships with consistently loyal clients. She has also built up a database of exceptional - often-unique - candidates, who appreciate her dedication.

A career path has to lead somewhere.
 

Besides sourcing suitable candidates and working on job specs for a more then 100 valued clients to date, Jenny has strong influence within the industry, in terms of offering advice to clients and candidates.

She has been approached to lecture at academic institutions on several occasions, to mentor students on creative portfolios and CV writing, and to field frequently asked questions.

Assisting candidates to clarify their own personal career paths has become the part of the job that Jenny enjoys most:

Charting new waters
 

In November 2008 Fish Tank Recruitment took the bold and exciting decision to go national and from that, the Gauteng office was born.
This coincided with Fish Tank’s proud fourth birthday.

The Gauteng region of the business is run and managed by Mandy Price, who comes from a publishing, marketing and advertising background, making her the perfect consultant to work in these fields.

She is highly efficient and as passionate as Jenny is, about her job specs, candidates and clients.

Mandy is currently focused on bringing in new business and is successfully building up a loyal client base in Gauteng.
